In the Peaks with BMBabe & Mnbrennan

I actually drove across the Peak District twice on Sunday! I went to view another Z with extra cylinders in Sheffield. Unfortunately I didn't get it :( On the plus side, never driven in the Peak District before and had a whale of a time!

    European Union

I've read this thread with great interest. Just to add my point, I think you can only vote based on your own experience but I would urge everyone to do research the subject thoroughly before making a decision. I'll admit I'm not 100% decided but I'm more inclined to vote in. In part due to the...

    POLL Home servicing ?

I feel your pain, I too have been on the receiving end of a no-fault accident where basically I totally lost my car that I couldn't replace (Ford Sierra that was mint with 46k on the clock, one owner) and came out the other end with what was basically pocket change and a crumpled mess that used...

    Looking for a Z3..

Welcome Steve, not to scare you in any way! But to share my experience. When I bought my Z it was on lowered springs and it drove decently but it ground out on pebbles. So I decided to replace the springs with the original ones. This however started me on a several month long money spending hunt...

    POLL Home servicing ?

Unfortunately I've never had the courage to really do anything beyond changing wiper blades on a car! I would love to though but I think I could do with someone looking over my shoulder that at least has a clue! Thankfully at the moment I know a man that is very well respected in the area and...

    Video Favourite driving roads

OK so this is my first attempt at an onboard video. Just thought I would give it a whirl tonight because I fancied a drive. Will try again tomorrow I think if it's sunny and also play around with the camera settings because that anti-shake effect is just weird! Thankfully it does make it look...

Strut Brace (what do they add?)

I think with any convertible, you have to embrace a certain level of body flex. It's just never going to drive or feel like a coupe or anything else with a roof for that matter. What I would say in the Z's favour (or at least mine) is that compared to other vehicles I've owned it rattles and...

Henley Z3 - Confused lady driver

Do you sometimes accidently flash you lights at a Z coming the other way when you aren't in your Z? I've done this a few times now when I'm in my Leon and people must think I'm mad!

Just got a 2.8 and fu€%ing love it!

Awesome, closest tribute I could achieve is alphabetti spaghetti. But I had to use a sideways M because there are no 3's :(

Slippy diffs, traction and stability oh my!

OK this makes sense. Thanks Brian, when you put it down on paper so to speak it makes perfect sense what the ASC stands for. Traction control I don't mind, I have to say though stability control I'm not a huge fan of. Obviously it's there for safety and it has to account for the lowest common...

Slippy diffs, traction and stability oh my!

I learned to drive rear wheel drive cars back in my early 20's. Started with a (don't laugh) Volvo 740, then a BMW E32 735i, then an E30 325i. What I instantly liked about driving these cars is that if you did something wrong they would quite happily spit you off the road backwards into a field...

Just got a 2.8 and fu€%ing love it!

:welcome: I personally prefer the original style as well, I think the back end just looks more slick. Mine is a 1997 1.9 and has the clear / red rear lights and I think it just looks the mutts nuts.

First new car so we missed sundays cruise.

Did you miss the cruise because the power cord wouldn't reach that far :ymdevil: Joking aside I think they're fantastic, my mate works for Nissan UK and he has one. Can't get over the off the mark performance of the thing the torque rips your face off!

    Roadster Project

Hi Simon, welcome to the forum. I bought mine on an impulse about a year ago. New door, new suspension and lots of oily bits later and it's still here. It still needs some bits and bobs but as is it's a very useable, very enjoyable beautiful little roadster. I would only change it for another Z3...

    Rear suspension settings

Hi Bob, I don't know the figures but I've just had my rear shocks and top mounts replaced and my standard springs refitted as the previous owner fitted a spurious set of lowering springs that totally wrecked my rear suspension. The rear wheels have a visually noticeable camber as standard...
