cheers all looking for like minded petrol head, my original idea on getting a zed was last year I went to a big kit car show on one stand 2 guys were converting a z3 into a either a bertini or a kobra by changing pannels that's why I went for a cat c but when I got her home swmbo said NO WAY are you changing that into another kit car , so I repaired the front end( bonnet, head lights, slam pannel, front chassis rails, radiator fan, passed her MOT with only 1 item fail, rear indicators not orange enough, 2 new bulbs sorted that, so with a mot in hand went to my local vosa for a vic check so I could get a v5 when that arrived got my road tax 3 days later headed south to the Le Mans 24hr race 1400miles later and 1 week got home very happy with my z3 done over 6000 miles since then without a single problem

@kobra2b that would of been @Anthony Cherry you met then who does the Bertini  top guy
can't remember who I met at the show, he was very helpfull with advice, it was on first look a nice conversation, but on reflection I thought the rear end was too much like a porker , also on the other thing that put me off is I love the curves on my zed being a face lift model either with the hard top on or top less
