To be honest the only thing you have to lose is the cost of your materials. What you have to gain is a lot of satisfaction.

Costs add up! Decided to replace my drivers side plinth as it was badly corroded. Went the X8R route, good quality, £86 with discount code. Noticed outer mirror cover was broken and 3 of the 4 screw fixing points were broken, so decided to replace with new, £31. Had cover and base repainted for £72 (very good job and perfect paint match). Just had to order new glass £49 as the original one won't resecure due to a broken tab (likely broken by me on removal, but don't recall). Total £238 - fortunately the near side is perfect! These mirror bases have a lot to answer for!:(

Lots to answer for. My drivers side was completely gone but my near side was fine too. Decided to change both though because I’m a bit of a nutter when it comes to symmetry :whistle: it would’ve bugged me knowing it was different
