I went with duraflex but some of the more expensive poly bushes have dimples or grooves so that they slide in easier.
Sounds like you have the wrong bush pal, as me and hoogy both used duraflex okMine just wont go in no matter how hard I push. I dont know whether the actual bush is slightly too big, I'm tempted to sand them down a little using a dremel but I shouldn't have to do that if the bush was designed for a Z3!
Haha it's ok mate. Yes that's part of the old bush. I had to use a saw and make a slit down the inside then pry it out, right carry on! If you don't have a press then you will probably need to do the same
It was the set for the E36 compact@Sean d Can you send a link to the bush that you ordered from the duraflex site. Want to be sure that I ordered the right one and then I guess I will have to call them!
Even with the rest of the old bushes out that's still going to be hard to get in without the grooves to let them fit over the dimples. Definitely had grooves on the Powerflex ones I fitted.Do yours look like this?

They slide in nice and easyEven with the rest of the old bushes out that's still going to be hard to get in without the grooves to let them fit over the dimples. Definitely had grooves on the Powerflex ones I fitted.
Ahh you tw@ you only removed the rubber
I used a hacksaw mate, it only takes a few minutes per side, once through, bend the sleeve inwards with a hammer and punch@Sean d and I said that my beam bushes were easier to remove than the trailing arm ones... How wrong was I!
I think im going to have to use my jigsaw to cut two slots in as the hacksaw just isnt quick enough
Thanks. Not sure what I'm gona do with them once they are out ha. I'll see exactly what condition they are in@Davyhoogy When doing mine @Brian4 suggested using pieces of wood to support the tank, I've got around 25-30l of fuel left in the tank. Using the wood should take the pressure off the bolt holding the tank in place.
