Fine effort Davy. I've just caught up on your rebuild thread. I'm doing the same job on my zed at the moment.
All the best for a successful MOT!
Cheers,

Jonno

Well done mate. I bet you must be relieved that it all worked after you put it back together =)) i know i was!

Mine is in for an MOT tomorrow or Wednesday. Sadly I wont be taking it there so I won't get to see the look on the MOT testers face
I'll be booking mine in for maybe this weekend. Kate works for a tyre company so has alot of friends in garages. Gona ask him to give everything a once over then get it through the test.
I'm aiming for no advisories ha.

Excellent, well done pal, did you have to compress the bushes and what springs are you on, they look like -40mm are the Apex
Yeah apex springs Sean, had them on 2 years now, very low. It will settle a tad lower than the pics.

Davy, my Zed went onto axle stands before you started your project and i thought I had a lot on 'till I read your posts! I will produce a summary of what I learnt when its complete.I did go for powerflex beam bushes and they were a pleasure to fit.
Cheers,

Jonno

I know I missed a fantastic summer and all of the organised meets but I couldn't imagine doing that work through winter.
Lying on a cold floor with freezing hands :hungover:
I spent most of it with my top off tanning ha..
Maybe that's why it took so long :banghead::facepalm:

My 2001 Z3 2.5 lives in upstate NY and has about 80,000 miles on the clock. It has almost no serious rust underneath. It has never been run during the winter because we are in an area that has lots of snow and salt on the roads. With the mild motor we spot no cracks underneath. One reason I selected the 2.5. I did change out the rubber damper on the drive shaft along with its support. (Cost was a total of $450.) Other than that the car is like new to view and drive.

@Davyhoogy End of term Report.

Has made excellent progress this term with excellent results.

And deserves a big tick.
