Hi Malcolm
How are you doing ?
Did a chap on our FB page get in touch who was wanting to reolace his tank straps ? Geoff

Hi Geoff... doing ok thanks.......

Not on facebook so not sure????

Have sold quite a few and had lots of enquiries this week so may well have done.

Yes he’s been in touch :thumbsup:

Hi Malcolm. Could you add me to to your tank strap list for my 3.0i
Many thanks
Blue Skies
Chris

Thank you Mazza fitted mine, took a couple of hours due to the old nuts being sized , new kit fitted perfectly excellent product

Two more Z3 sets going Monday. One off to Devon, the other off to Sweden.

I'm in the process of refurbing my straps, and I can say that for 99% of Z3 owners - this is the mod for you.

To refurb the existing ones...

Rear beam off - 2-3 hours
Straps off, including lots of time waiting for Plusgas to work on the charcoal filter strap - 1 hour
Derust straps to prep for paint - 1 hour (no exageration)
Paint (two coats) - 1 hour
Refit - 5 hours (at a guess)
Cost - £0.50 for paint and £1.00 for self-adhesive neoprene foam
Total time - 11 hours (just to do the straps)

Mazza's straps...
Time to cut off old straps and fit new ones - 1 hour
Cost - £80

It may look like a labour cost of £7.85/hour to refurb the originals, but I haven't included the cost of the stuff that you just need to buy because "I can't refit that", like iffy handbrake cables (another £25), etc.

Update on stock.....

This is all that is left!!!!

Z3
I was going to say that I had two sets available (when i took the photo this afternoon).......but since then I have sold both sets, so now I only have those on my reserved list.

However.....As five of these sets have been reserved for over 3 months, and as no deposits were taken, I will now make them available again to anyone who needs a set.

Z3M
3 sets available

Mazza,

Looks like my (customer's...) set at the bottom right, except I've had them for at least a month already! They really are a work of art; it's a shame to put them under the car!

Do you have any plans to do another run of them, or are you just waiting to see if enough people pony up ahead of time?

Hi Randy,
Bottom right set is Reserved for someone in Houston Tx.

If there is further demand after current stock has sold , I will look at another batch of 100, And possibly make more of them into the Z3M version.

Regards and thanks for the nice comment.

I changed the tank straps this afternoon, really simple, a testament to the footwork put in by Mazza.
I was quite shocked as to the condition of the old ones, did the factory bother to paint them? SWMBO's car is in really good nick, but the old straps were failing badly, I didn't need to do any cutting, I just undid the long one and bent it a bit until it snapped.
