Too late now, but two tone silver on black would be very unique….

I bought my concrete sectional garage second hand 37 years ago. Advertised as 18’ x 18’ in a local paper me and a Helper spent a day taking it down, my brother transported home and I set about digging the pit (with a shovel) and laying an 18 x 18 base.
My dear old Dad helped me put the top layer on after I’d done the bottom, when we got finished was when I realised that it was in fact, 18’ x 20’. Many times I have wished for that extra space.

Tony.

The z3 has been living under a cover out in the drive for a few weeks but I decided it was at risk of being forgotten there, so it's back in the shed on axel stand.

Before I took it in, I replaced the B piller seals and cleared the drains below.

I then set about trying to make my roof a bit more presentable. I used the autoglym kit and a bottle of dye before the waterproofer.

I've cut the rot out the rear jack pad point and patched it up. It still needs a bit of dressing off but at least its now solid. Undecided if I'll bother with holes to replace the pad as I just use the diff to Jack up the rear. One more bit like this to sort and then I can get back to spannering and the nice stuff to be working on.

I've had a big push the last few days and I've finished the welding. I've also dug out alot of the seam sealer and resealed it. It'll get a fresh clart of stone chip on tomorrow and I'll update with photos.

I managed to get the stonechip sprayed today. I also refitted the cross brace and centered the steering wheel. I could get the steering center before but the rod ends weren't really centre. I must have cocked up putting the rack back in. So I put the wheel on a quarter off and adjusted the rod ends. Eye ball looks like the wheels are pointing the correct way but they'll need alignment. I think that's the majority of the stuff done that I need to lay under the car for, so it's out the shed. It's starting to take shape think..

I need a new radiator and pws cooler pipes but they're on the list until next time.

Sealed and stone chip coated

I've still to replace the outer sill cover and wing on the drivers side.

I think its time to get the other engine home.

I am having a bit of a push again. I've got a new/ used abs pump in bound and a new radiator. The alternator on this engine is dead as well. I really need to get the other one back to the house.

Set about pulling the radiator which was bent at the bottom and bodged with silicon sealer at the top.

I've had a quarter panel in the shed for replacing the picky one. The new one needed a little rust treatment as well but really not bad.

Once I got the panel off, I came across an aftermarket hole, so i zipped it up.

And a coat of paint

So next up, "P122 UP"up got a hip replacement.

I then set about cleaning and refitting the interior. Not much photos of that but I discovered the passenger seat has the wobble issue. I went on the hunt for the offending part. In the process of making shims for it but the rain came on so I aborted mission.

The e30 keeping an eye on things.

The wobble is fixed and the interior is in. I've still to dye it but it'll do for the MOT. The car is looking pretty funny just now with its mutli colour appearence.

I've recieved and fitted the abs pump thanks to @Andyboy for the speedy delivery. I've still to bleed the brakes but first up is trying to code the module to the car.

So In the cars past, someone looks to have installed a double din unit and aftermarket facia. I much prefer the look of the 3 dials but in the interest of making the car a bit more finished I acquired a Chinese double din screen for not a lot of money. The amazon review was good enough. Today's mission is to plumb this in.

Yeah, the house used to be a threshing mill. It originally had 2 wheels. The under bucket was taken when the war effort and metal was being cashed in. The little one survives as at that point in time it was used to make a 50v supply for some of the neighbouring buildings. I am a bit of a historian for the place haha. The wheel doesn't drive anything now. It's pretty noisy when running so you wouldn't want it going for power.
