I see the add on my daily search. Very nice looking example. Tough to find another like that one. We'll maybe get a chance for a cappy run before the weather turns

Yes I know,I’ve had plenty of people after the hardtop only, but it goes with the car only.

The seat cover confession. As a temperary cover up to last until it road legal, I've fitted some nasty seat covers. Not my usual style but it hides the unpaired seats for now.

I've also fitted the new radiator, I thought I had coolant but the bottle looks to be full of waste, so a job for tomorrow. Beer in the sun time

I decided to go and get coolant, so I got some plates printed at the same time. One more thing checked off. Not entirely sure if the cap is passing. I've now got hot air out the vents but the idle has now started to go irratic. I'll check out the icv tomorrow

The battery light is because the alternator is fubar and the other 2 are for the abs pump. I've swapped the pump but it's still to be coded and bled.

Well the code for the abs pump has gone. I still have a red brake light on the dash but then I remembered I've not attached wear sensors, so I figure that will be the light. I've still got the battery light but I know the alternator is dead. Now I've bled the coolant and fitted the new radiator my idle is lumpy. I've managed to get inpa working again. 2 new codes.

Lambda 1 probe heating and 121 height adaption (error load registration)

The car is trying to idle around 1200 rpm, I've noticed the total air consumption is off the chart.

I'll have a route about for a vacuumed leak and check out the icv.

Cylinder 4 looks to be running a little rougher than the rest.

Truth be told this could be 9 year old fuel as well..

Sorry for the bad reflection.

So I removed the idle control valve. The flap was pretty much stuck open a crack. I've worked back and forth a few times with a screw drive and hey presto. Smooth idle once more.

Just double checking with inpa again and now the total air is back in range and the lambda code has gone. Easy win it seems.

Just need to work out what the 121 code is complaining about.

No wind and the sun was out, so the new skirt got a dusting with a rattle can. The whole car will get a respray later but this will do for now. Hoping to have a day on the car tomorrow and then it should be ready to chance its first mot in 9 years.

The side skirt is on, just waiting on bulbs and wear sensors.. and then change the alternator.

Are you happy with the colour match from the rattle cans? It looks OK in your pics but photos don't always give the best view

The colour match isn't too bad. Where I seem to struggle is getting the clear to flatten and polish properly. It camouflages the panels for now. I do plan on buying a compressor and painting the whole car in a oner. If I make a pigs ear of it, I can rub it down and try again....

Part of me wants to rebody it but we will see what happens

Brake sensors are in and we are down to 1 light, which I know is the alternator. The cars holding temperature well, I've got hot air through the vents and the idle is steady.

I've got a few bulbs about the place to do and the 3rd brake light is full of rusty water, so that'll need some love.

The front needs to come up a nudge as it's on the guard.. :)

Quick question, what's missing from the hole by the b pillar area. Both sides are the same, just not sure it looks right.
