Latest update. The starter motor failed last Friday as I was doing the rounds between the kids houses doing various collections and drop offs. Luckily it gave up the Ghost at where I used to work. Being an Auto, towing it home was not an option and getting it delivered home would've been £50-60. so I asked if they could do it for me, I knew they were on low staffing levels and it would be at least Monday before they could look at it to confirm the Starter was the issue. A call late Monday confirmed it to be the case, another call Tuesday PM to tell me it's ready. I took the oil burner in for A/C re-gas and to have a screw removed from it's O/S/F paw and left it with them and drove the Z4 home. We went to collect he oil burner this afternoon and Shirl said as we left home that this was the first time we had been out together, not going to a funeral, for 3 months!
Anyway on collection and paying the bill for both jobs I was rather pleasantly surprised by the amount, so a big Thank You to my old boss, he did us proud. Have a guess?

Tony.

Great news for your Z and Shirl’s car.

Great news for my Z, too - new water pump and belt fitted yesterday. You lot all know the motto:

I found myself at a place we used to frequent as kids a couple of miles away near the Trent about half a mile across the fields from where I grew up. So I took a few pictures where I took some of my Z3 a few years ago.

In the last pictures just above the rear spoiler there's a white house, our house was just to the right. Many happy hours spent fishing around here.
