Got to love those Lincs skies

108s look good in my opinion but I’m biased!
I am pleased how they came out doing the centres with body colour, you know that rare Sterling Grey;).

Nice to see you're embracing the EV revolution Tony. I can imagine you nipping down to The Swan in that =)) .

Doing my bit for the environment as all the packing was left in the box, along with this.

I'd say it's a front bumper carrier.

OK, I will ask the question then ..... What is it ?
As Bryan said it is a front bumper carrier/ stiffener. A few years back I polished the tow ball on a Nissan Entrail at the roundabout on my way to work one day. I got the main cross piece but the 2 “sacrificial” side pieces were no longer available from BMW.
These have been on my watch list on eBay since then and this one came up the other night at a very good price with offers. I offered £10 less and got it, in the box with it was all the polystyrene, plastic bags, plastic banding a cardboard the car was wrapped in (as packaging) like it needed any.
If they had taken it apart it wouldn’t have needed such a big box, but, as they rounded off captive nuts trying to, instead of undoing the Torx bolts from the other end, well you get the idea.

Well, it has leaked water in since it was built mate and when I worked from home I had 12V bilge pump for a boat in the bottom. After a year or three I bought a mains submersible pump instead. Now, I haven't emptied the pit since the lake was excavated 10 years ? ago so I thought I'll pump the 17" of water out and clean and mop it out on Monday and then we'll see how much comes back, if any (fingers crossed). I'm busy scouring the net for ideas to seal it once I get it empty. Could be useful for changing gear oil maybe?

If I recall right the last big job it saw was fitting a clutch in my brother's Sierra 2.0 Sport, so that's a while ago!

we used to use a company called Belzona for a coating that seals tanks and bunds, but it's not cheap stuff,

I would be tempted to leave a pump in there, and fit a raised galvanised grid iron platform to stand on. and just pump it out when the need arises.
A good thought mate. With the benefit of hindsight maybe when we put the floor in we should have left a gentle slope to one end. I have chopped a shallow "sump" in one corner where the old bilge pump used to sit at the beginning. First thing is to get it empty and see how much collects and how quickly since the lake was excavated.

Pit was fully emptied today, swilled and re emptied, cleaned of rubbish and bits of old pit boards and finally mopped dry by about 5.00pm.

At about 9.15 this evening it's still almost totally dry.
