I have that problem raising it's ugly head on the O/S/R Dave. Hopefully it will see these next few weeks out as I plan a colour change on the callipers later this year.

Tony.
Normally it will free up and not come back straight away, but hasn't done on mine. I noticed a little judder in the steering the other day which is probably related, supposed to be going to Silverstone at the weekend :banghead: I've got 2 brand new front calipers which I've had over 12 months but haven't fitted as I wanted to strip and rebuild and paint the rears but not got round to it. Looks like that's the next job on the list.

may as well volunteer, I will end up doing it anyway..
don't forget your 20mm socket ....there may be 19mm bolts that you haven't yet rounded off..
Why would I want to use my nice new 20mm socket when I can just use yours.

Not much been happening recently, got the rear caliper freed up and no more sticking. When we were at the National Festival this happened  got home and something missing

The rear view mirror mount decided to fall off along with the mirror. Got some proper glue and put it back on and seems to be holding up well.

Since the car was resprayed I've been having battery issues, it was left disconnected for a few days and then left on trickle charge. I've found with every BMW I've had that once the battery starts to die it's never the same. Now if I leave the car for a day or two without driving it the battery is flat and I have to jump start it. Looks like the next purchase will be a new battery. I also need 4 tyres for my winter wheels which will soon be here

I've got a dodgy heated seat switch at the moment, it started playing up with the light going on and off. I thought it wasn't working at all as I kept pressing it on and off but turns out if you press it as normal the seat still heats up so it's just the bulb that's dodgy. I will take it out soon and see if the bulb can somehow be swapped out, if not I'll put it back on the passenger side which rarely gets used.

That's pretty much it until next year, the car is taking a back seat and I have no interest in it apart from using it to commute to work. I'll keep it cleaned and waxed throughout winter but the main priority now is finding a house. Hopefully one with a decent garage I can park in, if not who knows where the car may end up.

Funnily, you know I’ve had my car’s bodywork done? Well, I’ve also had battery problems and have had to buy a new one.
I am ultra cautious about where I park my car...shopping is often late when there are plenty of car parking spaces and I park over two bays. I’m not having my car’s doors clunked.
Good luck with your house search. My car is parked in my driveway and fairs well so don’t be put off with a property without a garage...unless you are intending to set up ZedShed Telford?

They don't like sitting round without being on trickle charge, I've had issues in the past and once they go flat they are never the same again. Luckily they are not that expensive for a half decent one. Yours may well have been left standing for a while which may have caused issues. I've been using the car less and less recently which isn't helping. We have looked at some without a garage, I could build one but it's an extra expense we won't have the funds for at least for a few years. It's not just to park in, I have lots of spare parts, wheels and hardtop etc that need to go somewhere as well. And as for setting up a Zedshed I don't need to as I go to Dadshed instead =))

I think I have a spare switch.

You can take it right now if you want but it won't be going very far unless you have a set of jump leads.

Went to pull it out the garage today and the battery was flat again. It probably sat for around 12 hours and has gone dead. Nothing has been left on to drain it so it must be shot. I jumped it and left it running for a while then put it back in the garage and on trickle charge. When I connected the trickle charger it was only showing 12.1 volts. Looks like I'll be searching for a new battery.

No they are definitely in your shed, sat right in the centre console.
I had a sneaky feeling that was where this was going Dave. The S*** word was a dead giveaway mate.=))

This is what happened to mine. Do you reckon it was something to do with the bodywork then?
