This is my Ramair on my E85 Z4 3.0i. On this car you can mount it directly at the point of the original air filter intake through the front panel.

I can vouch for the lovely noise it makes.
When Tony was behind me on an up hill section of dual carriage way, we were giving it some welly and I could hear it in my zed.
sounds good from the drivers seat as well :whistle:.

did that shield come with it Paul
No mate, piece of aluminium donated by T-Tony. Made a pattern out of cardboard cut the aluminium to pattern drilled a big hole for the induction pipe and fastened to the existing air box bracket and inner wing. Finished off with a £2 piece of trim from E Bay.

It was quite easy really, just as well my fabrication skills are very basic.

I started making a heat shield but still need to make a lid for it.

Bear in mind that both Paul's and mine are Z4s and that they're fairly different under the bonnet from a Z3.
