We're looking forwards to seeing you guys too, missed our fellow zedders this year, who would believe its almost a year since I started this project, I went through this thread last night and was quite shocked at the amount of stuff I have done on the car
Hope you haven’t added up how much you have spent Sean. That said you now have one of the Filthiest Z3s around :) all worth the time, effort and bu**er the expense.

Shame there’s not enough room under the seat to fit it. I suppose you could look at making one of Susan’s sub enclosures in the future.
I may do one of Susans, I believe @Jjim has had some success but to be honest I just don't have it in me right now, decided tonight that its going to stay in the shop until the end of Feb, not a lot of point in putting it on the road with all the bad weather we get.

Made this last year. I used a JL Audio 6w3v3 sub, and ported the front of the box.
I then removed the front cubby box and replaced it with a standard sub grill (new from BMW as cost is reasonable).
I have a JL Audio 1000/5 amp in the boot running all speakers and sub.

Thinking of making the sub boxes to order.
I covered the top of mine in black leather.

The main problem is that the rad cowell needs drilling and a rivnut fitting, could be altered though

I had a piece of 80mm diameter steel knocking about so got on with the induction today, just need to fit a couple of jubilee clips and put the knock on the heat shield,
It sounds awesome when you blip the throttle :D:D

This is one mod you’ll enjoy very much.

Apparently they improve mpg but because it sounds so good at high revs I wouldn’t know, all I know is if get over 200miles to a tank that is good going for me...many many smiles per gallon.

Oh and it sounds faster so in my book it’s actually faster in that it feels it, not doing lap times after all!

I'll hopefully have a cat back going on the car before I do the lakes tour, we have a local specialist that builds them in situ

I'll do some sums.............................got it, swap for a sub box ;)
Edit, s*** I can't as I have after market hoops
Send me a pic of how much clearance you have between the compartment and the hoops and I’ll have a think about what I can build.
