    Cup holder test run.

Funnily enough, just posted this on the Coupe owners facebook group, might help those with the OEM Cup holders. Love them or hate them, nobody will argue that the ring that comes with the OEM centre console adapter is a ridiculous size on the basis it doesn’t fit cups! I decided I wanted to...

    Footwell speaker

I have both footwell speakers (one with amp) 99 car, in good condition, that I was thinking to pop on eBay. Pm me if you want them. Not sure what they’re worth but say £20 plus p&p for the pair. Also have coupe standard rear roof speakers if anyone wants them? I bypassed the amp and replaced...

    Lanoguard

There is a bit of an aroma of wet sheep, but not as bad as some would have you believe. This goes after it dries though.

    Lanoguard

Was just that, a quick whizz over with jet wash (I actually used my patio cleaner upside down) let it dry then apply lanoguard. You need to put it in a bucket of hot water for 20 mins before applying, but goes on very easily and doesn’t take long to apply either. Nice that it’s clear unlike...

    Lanoguard

I’ve used it on my jap import coupe before it even saw uk roads, just topped up after 3 years at Xmas and am very pleased with the results so far, no sign of any corrosion at all.

What have you bought for your Zed this week?

Finally got around to test fitting my modified E36 roof bars on the coupe. Pleased with the result. We’re taking the car to France this summer (being LHD) and need to strap on the roof box for the trip. Is an Audi roof box which I’ve had for years, but given the change of brand (I also have an...

    Piano black centre console

Well that took a little longer to get around to than expected! uk computer now fitted together with dial rings. The Rings from eBay aren’t designed to fit with the wood trim despite all manner of brute force, so ended up cutting slots with a dremel in the rear lip and using a little adhesive...

    Piano black centre console

It was literally just what I liked the look of on EBay a couple of years ago. The heater dial rings have now arrived ( along with a replacement OBC that reads in mpg and miles as opposed to km) and the plan is to get both fitted in the coming weeks when the weather improves. I’m thinking to keep...

    Piano black centre console

Thanks for the heads up on that, I suspect that you just saved me a massive headache!!

    Piano black centre console

good thought on eBay.com, will check it out. unfortunately LHD vs RHD frames are different and whilst the top panel is universal, the bottom is LHD specific and as a whole slightly canted to the driver. might just see how it looks with the dial rings and make a judgement call from there...

    Piano black centre console

Hello folks, I’m looking at refreshing my LHD 2.8 coupe’s centre console. It comes with wood trim as standard that I wrapped with 4g carbon fibre a couple of years ago (I’ve subsequently changed the radio for retro blaupunkt): it’s not bad, but not 100%. I’ve ordered some dial rings from a...

How To Guide Beam Bush Replacement ( In Situ )

I didn’t undo the shocks. Spent a little while wondering why I couldn’t get the beam low enough before I realised I still had an axle stand under it! worked out perfectly with the 1.25” pipe fitting and a 50mm x 3mm M16 slotted washer.

How To Guide Beam Bush Replacement ( In Situ )

Whilst I appreciate this post has been on here a little while, I just wanted to extend my sincere thanks to Andy for figuring out this method. Today I managed to extract the off side subframe bush on my coupe with minimal stress. (I used a heat gun as opposed to a blow torch). In fact the...

    Suspension

i think you’re absolutely right, it’s the M Sport springs that are what I want. Sadly, as I go further down the rabbit hole and read more around these they appear to be made of pure unobtainium! I can see that I’m potentially going to end up spending a fortune and not really getting what I’m...

    2000 1.9 Z3 Driver Impact sensor

Arguably the 2nd hand sensor I got may have also been duff, but it looked decent enough. Have just checked and I had 6906174 which was also supposed to have compatible. Good luck!:)

    Suspension

Hi Althulas, I would definitely be interested to take your m springs! Do let me know when you’re able  Not looking to drop it on the floor, just a small drop, so suspect these would be perfect for me - thanks.

    2000 1.9 Z3 Driver Impact sensor

Hi Dan, I had a problem with my Passenger side impact sensor 65776905454, I swapped driver to passenger side and established it was the sensor itself as opposed to the connector and promptly found that 65776905454 was quite rare in comparison to other side impact sensors and could only find a...

    Suspension

Would really appreciate some advice, I have searched but am struggling. Whilst fitting a big brake kit to my 2.8 Coupe last weekend i noticed one of my front shock was leaking. Whilst I could get a direct replacement easy enough, one of the things about the 2.8 coupe versus the M is that it...

    Airbag light on once again

The previous Japanese owner of my car had taken the warning bulb out of the cluster and filed the hole with black mastic, presumably in frustration with the airbag fault. I have now fixed the system, however it was hair pullingly exasperating. I have had a nightmare with my drivers seat...
