#ZedShed Zedshed Social Room

Check exhaust mountings too, it’s more N/S/R located.

Tony.

Hi @Lee .
Thought I'd ask about this on here I was just reading up on the Turquoise Green zed thread looking at your work on the front end .
Was wanting to ask about the front subframe bolts have you had many off are they potentially problematic as you probably seen done Stevie ( @Scooblitz) rear end refurbishment when doing that noticed he has developed an oil leak from appears to be the sump seal on offside above the subframe ( oil only on sump and below no wet on block) so need to drop subframe to do the repair thought you'd be the man to ask about the bolts.
Stephen.

Thanks Tony, I have had a look at that and it seems ok, it has a back box delete so just the two pipes running through which seem sturdy.
Clunk at the rear has been sorted by RBM, is was as suspected by Lee at the Zed shed, Top Mounts. They had both disintegrated which is weird as they are only 14 months old and done 6k miles. All sorted now though.

Good result, I had a chat with Ross prior to you arriving. Said to save time and go straight to the top mounts, only thing we couldn't see.

So much Zed Shenanigans going on at the moment.

A first for the Zedshed, we’ve picked up a 1 owner 2.8 to fix a few issues and she’ll be for sale soon.

When I had my own place in Gainsborough usually Paul and I had to get "creative" to get 'em in at days end.

Tony.

Use this thread to ask questions, and talk Zedshed related Nonsense. I’ll make a start.

Zedshed was a capacity today. Some new faces entering the fold. Between all the socialising we still managed to built a Vanos and gearbox indent pins. These jobs are all easily achievable at any Zedshed garage around the Uk.

We play every Saturday feel free to come say hi.

Hi guys need some advice I have 2.8 z3 I'm having trouble with the acceleration when I press the peddle it builds up rpm to about 2500rpm then it starts to splutter and die down to around 1500rpm then jumps back up to 2500 rpm (sorry its hard to explain) the car starts and idles with no problems any ideas what it could be also just changed the crankshaft sensor because the car was cutting out when warm was running fine for about 2 weeks before this problem started.

Have you had a code reader on it? My thoughts would be inlet camshaft position sensor faulty.

Tony.

I have got a code for cam and crankshaft sensor like I said just changed the crankshaft sensor with one from bmw. So don't know why I would have it come up again I cleared the code when I changed it 🤔🤔

I changed the crank sensor on my 2000 Z3 but it was the inlet cam sensor which was at fault.

Also depending on which engine you have some have two cam shaft sensors.

An important project headed up by our apprentice @Holliez4 is to fill the walls with the ‘sheds memorabilia. This wall made up of various Zed calendar pictures. Look closely enough and you may see you’ve made the wall!
