#ZedShed Zedshed Social Room

I'm building a tribute 507. Doing all the work myself and just doing beam bushes. Brakea and suspension. Everything else is oem and ok and I'll fix stuff as and when it's necessary.

But you're having it built by CCW. I don't know what that build costs but, in the big scheme of things, if it was me, I think I'd joining the queue at @Lee ' s shed and have the whole thing refreshed for years of trouble free motoring.
That's what I'm hoping to do, just need to know how to get in the queue?

Got your message and replied :)

These guys are in the next farm along, only a mile away. Happy to discuss a plan going forward for a refresh, drop me a message.

Go on do his gear box =))

My first trip to Zedshed HQ today ..thanks to everyone for making me so welcome..great to put faces to names and names to faces.
Amazing progress on Grahams 2.2, only slightly overshadowed by the mods Lee was doing to his son’s electric balance bike !

So I’m currently having a career break for a few months so I’m getting some serious time in the shed doing all your projects. We’ve been doing so many cool things in the recent weeks.

lots of quick n dirty subframe bush changes. All done over a few hours although this one was testing yesterday.
IMG_3760.webp

we also had a Z3M in for trumpet seal change. We did a smoke test last week and it poured out the inlet trumpets.

real nice E89 wanted a brake upgrade so we went from the stock brakes up to the 340mm brembo setup. This was a straight swap.

IMG_3740.webp

we’ve also done a ton of jobs on my wagon. All new brakes and new shocks.

front also got some love with a new sun strip and a headlight polish, headlights were then PPF covered to stay shinny.

Got the supercharged Z4 back for an LSD upgrade and a new uprated clutch. Also have @Dino D Z3 in to rebuild his rear beam
IMG_3769.webp

dino really did a number on his subframe. In the coming weeks I’ll be picking the whole subframe structure beam apart and drilling out the spot welds, she will be getting a full chassis upgrade.

I'm going to be in the unit most days going forward. Give me a shout if you need anyone needs help.

I felt my ears burning 😆
Wasn’t me honest, I just came out one morning and found it like that…🥴
It’s almost as if that car knows when you have new tools and makes an excuse to visit you 😝

Some awesome Z’s knocking round the shed 😎

Hi Lee, great to finally meet you!

And thank you so much for the chats banter and work you carried out 😊

M Brakes are defo a balanced price/stopping/bling upgrade.

Many many things going on in the shed. Lots of cars coming through for front to back mechanical overhauling, seems to be the norm at the moment. I’ve had quite a few requests for Vanos seals, everyone wants all their HP back =)) also done a few Auto box rebuilds to freshen up those gear changes.

Nice low mile 3.0 Auto for mechanical bits and aftermarket headlights

lovely Datsun 280Z came in for some rattles.

Dino also tried setting fire to his Z3 with a spoon across the battery terminals, he was very lucky.
IMG_4135.webp

again I’ve had an influx of Vanos rebuilds. Really good way of getting all that power back.

You guys keeping me busy again. Swiss tone needed new brake lines from the ABS pump all the way to both rear callipers. And also had Rich in for a Vanos overhaul.

love this Valencia orange

Rich’s Vanos overhaul. Got this job down to 2 half hours now.

Ah so that’s where my spare towing eye ended up after the last track day (in the battery tray).
Loose metal bits in the boot of a Z3 defo not a good idea…I need to get a plastic terminal cover which I imagine they had from new for this reason.
