Your DRLs should dim when dipped beam lights are on, or extinguish, to be strictly legal but not every MOT tester will pick up on this.

Tony.

ps. I fitted some after market headlights with angel eye rings in them in my Z3, they were not bright enough to cause any hazard though.

Thanks again Tony, I'll have a good look to see if they're dimming when dipped beam is on.
I notice that Z4 ownership has increased over the past few weeks @Lee @GazHyde - all looking smart - I'll stick with the 3 for the time being but judging by the smiles 🤔 worth considering in a few years!

Hi all, hope you're busy!
I have to replace my centre propshaft bearing, I have the prop marked and the old bearing off and a new dust cover and bearing to fit. I guess I have to drive the new one on as removing the old one topped up my swear on. Have you fellas done this job before, I am looking for some 30mm ID tube to slide over the splined end and then tap the bearing home, does this sound OK?

All the best
M

Sounds like the way to fit the bearing.

Is there a ZedShed near Horsham (West Sussex)? I would really appreciate a 2nd opinion on the "gear change clunk" on mine (21k miles only).

Sounds like a gear oil and Diff. oil change is in order.

Lee is about 50 miles from you, well worth a visit and to pickup the right advice, that’s your nearest ZedShed.

I am hoping I can pick your brains. My Zed has developed a clunk at the rear when going over bumps, seems to be both sides affected but more pronounces on teh passenger side. The whole back end is new, all bushes, shocks top mounts etc. It is running a B12 bilstein kit. Any idea what it could be, it sounds like the top mounts have come loose or something like that but not sure. Asking as I am due at an event in it on Sunday so trying to understand if it will cause damage by driving it. It is booked in to be looked at but not due in until Tuesday next week so working out if I can drive to the event in it or not.

Poss look at the diff mount? I had a rear shock top mount fail, that caused some issues but not clunking
