Looking good:thumbsup:

Cheers mate, should be better, got some thick pipe lagging to put round the cross spars so we won't need the old folded curtain any more. Just one thing left to do which I can't manage on my own so will have to drag Gary or Graham in. That is to disconnect the door puller at the door frame, drop the motor unit and pull it back through the framework. Remove the two bits of timber then thread the puller above the red angle iron and attach to the new frame, and finally lift the back end of the door runners by about 4-5 inches and that should be that.

That looks pukka Tony, what stops the ramp from moving?

Just the weight of the vehicle Paul. The end with the rollers has to move towards the rams end as it raises.

More progress this afternoon. Graham came and gave me a hand to relocate the door lifter to above the garage roof frame. Also
raised the back edge of the door track by 3" and when door is raised I have 1/2" clearance.

With my car reversed in I now have 36" from raised car roof to door lifter, with car roof down I have 42" to boot lid or lower edge of windscreen. With car roof raised I can lift car so top of rear wheel arch is approximately 60" from the floor level. So I'm quite happy with that! Should make a lot of work easier.

Tony.

ps. I now have 2 pieces of wood, I wonder what will become of those? Oh, and a couple of bits of painting to finish.
