Finally finished the door lifter motor modification today. I got some pipe lagging on Saturday to wrap the steel spars of the garage roof (this has retired the old curtain we used to protect bonnets.

And the rear corner which was lifted has also been Gary and @Bozzy proofed for their safety.

On the far wall the storage bins (which I think everyone has bumped their back/shoulders on over the years has gone.

Also the fence paint has found a new home for the time being.

With a car backed in just clearing the O/S door mirror we have a clear 30" working space down the left side of the garage which should be great.

With a Z4 being around 4" longer than a Z3 I have about 15" front and rear with the door down.

I also finished the bits of painting on the new metal work in the garage roof. Next the scaffold boards and the power point.

Tony.

ps. I purposefully left the yellow rope in case we have a very bad day;)=))=))

I bought these last week, a pack of 10 (which I likely won't need all of them) to put inside the doors skins to remove a bit of the panel twang when you close the doors.

When we were kids we had an old Moggy and when it needed a clutch we just rolled it onto it's side as the box came out into the car.

That's good Tony, I always think the doors on the Z4 sound 'tinny' when they are closed. Nice if they now close with a dull clunk.

I won’t be doing them until the weather warms up Ken, maybe even working standing up !, but as I said probably won’t use them all so if you want what’s left you can have them.

Made a couple of chocks/stops for the ramps today.
20210216_151536.jpg

Borrowed an idea for making the ramps off YouTube last night. I can use the 2 bits of timber I took out of the roof. Just need to but 4 lengths of 2 x 3 and a sheet of particle? board.

Busy boy as usual, don’t know where you find the time and the best place for that fence paint is on the fence

No Lazy Boy sprayer here mate, couple of six inch brushes is all that’s needed. What’s the tent for.????? Thought you had a heater in yer garage for when Shirl throws you out. Surely all I need is a good sleeping bag.
