The building at the right was built by the BBC in 1927. The middle one with the apex roof in 1932 and the left in 1935.
It was used as the BBC's shortwave station - You'll remember "Daventry calling". Well, this is it. All the SHF masts are long gone though.
The whole area is an old roman fort - any building is now completely forbidden.

The office is top left of the large building below.

Why do horse boxes have "HORSES" written on the front. Cattle boxes do not have "COWS" on the front and buses do not have "PEOPLE" on the front. What's so special about horses?

Could ask why some people have to drive around with "baby on board" signs all over the car, but I won't.

I used to think that till I read that they can help the emergency services if there’s a crash. Babies and their seats may not be easy for them to spot if there’s a lot of damage.

No - but flick mine on and off to warn off tailgaters - not strictly legal but it tends to work.

I give them a good spray with the windscreen washers, that usually does the trick!
