Those supposedly god fearing folk of this planet that think more and more guns will protect them. Well, that’s not working very well is it?
And their belief that amendments can’t themselves be amended. Does it not occur to them they got wrong once already. Infallible they are not.
And the belief that a law from 227 years ago is in any applicable to the modern age.

I holiday with quite a few Americans, the discussion comes up.
They wont give up their guns, their opinion is always "it's not the guns fault, it's the person", often blaming mental health.
They feel they have a right to protect them selves.
I can see both side of the argument, but I read a very apt statement recently somewhere, "we also have mental heath issues in the UK, but it doesn't result in mass murder with an assault rifle"
I don't know what the answer is, but I'm glad I live in the UK.

More guns is just masking the issue. A route cause analyses needs to be done. A touchy subject though as the NRA are a VERY powerful body.
That they are Andy but finally some very large companies are standing up to the NRA by scrapping discounts given for belonging to the Association. These include many car rental companies and other major groups. Maybe, just maybe it's time for them to wake up and get their faces out of their porridge at last. Let's hope this one starts the beginning of the end.

Armed Police makes little to no difference Mike. The dooers are foot soldiers that have been heavily worked on and brain washed by the system. Death is all part of the glory so being clipped by a copper is neither here or there once their job is done.
I think they are way beyond an answer. It’s the lack of any graduation in the size and impact of firearms they don’t get. All guns are the same.
Not even in America would you be allowed to drive an Indy car on the highway. Nor would pilots be able to get into an F15 having got their solo in a Cessna. They are both dangerous tools in the wrong hands.
