Battery compartment seem to get water collected from somewhere. Can't see any leaks from the middle break light area or on the carpets on the boot. There is also a small rubber tube that seems to have got disconnected from some where.

Any idea what this tube do and how the water get collected?.

The tube should be connected to the battery as below and the other side blocked off

The normal leak points are the gasket on the 3rd brake light, or the rubber on the aerial.

The tube is the drain for the battery ( if its not a sealed unit)

Water could get in from a number of places .

Rear light seal, roof , stale air vent or the grommet above it ( in picture)

Hope this helps
Stephen.
This is very helpful. Will have a look. Thanks

That's what I checked but doesn't seem to. Guess I will pour some coloured water and see which is the culprit. Thanks

@tigervig in this instance you can rule out the high level stop lamp and aerial grommet out as your water ingress in the wrong place to be either of them.

More likely to be the right rear light unit seal.

What kind of shape is the rubber molding around the rear window in? There are drains on either side at the front of the hood/roof compartment which allows water that collects along the gasket between the hood/roof and the body to drain. If there any leaks around the rear window, i.e. missing/failed stitching, the top material not sealed in the molding around the window will allow the water to leak in to the trunk/boot. Telltale is wet carpet in the trunk/boot by the corners of the window, the water will drain to the lowest point in the trunk/boot, the battery area. Good seals, gaskets, and roof/hood are critical to keeping the water out, any rips or tears or failure around the rear window will allow the water in.
