I was certainly a lot happier when I started spraying them, the spec says to apply 2 coats with a sponge before spraying,Looking good Sean, much better with the spray gun then
Is that to seal the leather a bit before spraying? I'll be following this with interest as our Lotus White is not White anymoreI was certainly a lot happier when I started spraying them, the spec says to apply 2 coats with a sponge before spraying,
Firstly you have to thoroughly strip the top coat with solvent and a scotch brite so that the leather becomes porous, this allows the new dye to soak in so it is not like leather paint and sat on the top, thats why the first couple of coats are wiped on apparently, I have had a few conversations with a guy called Duncan at the leather clinic and taken his advice, he said done correctly they will last for years. Is that to seal the leather a bit before spraying? Its very labour intensive mate, enjoyable on your own gear but it could well get a bit boring doing someone else's, for this amount of work you would have to charge around £500Looking good mate. Could this be the start to a new business venture
