Slight health issue.

Hi Dave , so sorry to hear your poorly, I hope they get it under control for you soon, are you old enough to retire yet ? seems you need a rest from all that lorry driving.
Don't let anyone shake you to hard , i'v seen in the films what happens to Nitro :nailbiting: when it's shaken.
Dosen't seem that long ago we were in Holland enjoying the banta and company of all our fellow zedders, perhaps we can do it again soon.
Take care mate , hope to see you soon

Yeah I'm on nitro glycerine Adrian. Hopefully they'll fit a stent or two and i can come off it. It tastes rank and gives you a headache :arghh:
As said nitro in explosives and used to give me a headache when I was shot firing underground never tasted the stuff though.
See you at Clumber?

Thanks Pete. Retire haha, I'm 46 so not yet but upto this happening last week I had just agreed to go part time anyway but god knows what's going to happen now I've had my licence suspended. Been offered a job in the office but haven't agreed hours yet.
Ooh and yes hoping to do Holland next year.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

It gives me a headache when I take it Brian
Only lasts 10 minutes or so tho. Yes mate I'll be there.

Take care of yourself.

At least there'll be someone in the office who has good drivers experience.

Well if you've got around to moving and engaged in house refurb work put the shout out and I'm sure others and myself will come round and help with the heavy mauling etc one weekend.

Omg. Another health problem

The good news is you can manage it and hopefully improve it over time.
Probably right we know Dave. If we see you grasping at your chest we’ll know you’re not simply keeping a tight hold on your wallet (again)!;)

Take it easy.

Cheers Tim. That is true mate, usual thing in transport, people running trucks that have never done the job.

Erm thanks I think Ian! =))

Bloody hell Dave you have been through the mill these last couple of years. Keep the chin up and look forward to taking it easy once you become mortgage free

Very sorry to hear this Dave, look after yourself and have a great holiday to relax.

Thanks Bill it's not been great for you either. Hopefully if the Solicitor pulls her finger out we should be mortgage free in 2-3 weeks.

Sorry to hear this buddy. Hope you’re alright and able to manage to condition effectively so that it doesn’t effect you on a day to day basis.

If there is anything I can do, or help with, please give me a shout.

Sorry to hear this Dave, hope you get sorted soon, enjoy the rest of your holiday

Hi Dave, thanks for sharing this, glad to hear that you're okay and hope that you go on to make a full and speedy recovery. :) Take care!

Hi Dave Sorry to hear of your problem, but its very treatable. Had stents fitted some years ago and all has been ok since sticking to the rules, the spray goes with me every where and it has to be renewed each year but have never had to use it
Rest and I hope they sort it for you soon. Geoff

Hang in there @Grumps I'm sure you'll get sorted. If it does result in a stent, you'll be fine. My mother had one fitted some years back, drove herself 90 miles to the hospital, had the op, drove home the following day. She's now in her 80's and still going strong!

17-18 years ago I did an advanced first aiders course, part of being crew for the RNLI. We carried GTN on the boat. Instructor advised us "don't spray it on your Old Fella, it'll open the blood vessels in that to good effect too!" You've been warned!

Cheers mate. You can pop round and wire up my garage and kitchen lights when we eventually get some keys! :D

That's good to know Geoff. I'm sort of hoping they decide to fit stents so I don't have to use the spray. They reckon it gives you a new lease of life?
