I managed to get the M a good run out today over to Southport with the new wind deflector on..job well do ..no flapping about even.when pushed into the higher mph's ...there's only one down side.....if I ever sell it he needs to be called swomp !
The condenser was 175 and the fitting was 90 ...seals a few quid...the dryer was 50 but apparently I bought the wrong one even though he advertised it as a S50 ..but there's 2 types and I opted the wrong one and he won't do a swap..!!..so.I've put the original one back on.
The filling is around 30..
I'm.a bit miffed about the dryer but I'll I'll do that at a later date and get it refilled.
alls good with the aircon...after the regas and tests for leaks he passed it..but the belt was slipping..so new belt fitted and it's now ice cold with no squeaking.
the regas and test was 35 quid
MOT passed again today.
advisory on the bush on wishbone passenger side...i'll get both sides done at same time ...if ones gone the other will be on its way
So another long day in the garage.
Took the M out for a run the other day and after about 6 miles I could feel and hear a noise from the passenger side rear...when I found a place to pull over saw smoke pouring out of the rear brake.
After I put it in reverse the brake seemed to release its self...New caliper needed..or so.I thought.!!
I've been.running bluestuff on the rear for awhile now and once warm a good pad and never managed to get them to fade....however..are they really designed for road use...
Stripped the brakes off and the pad had given up.
The piece had got stuck in the brake and was causing the problem..
So blue stuff sacked...!!
A full set of yellowstuff now on..front and rear..all brakes serviced..and all working as they should....
Well if memory serves me well the ///M is 19 this month.....and sprightly with it...not really had much time to play out with her over the last couple of months....but she's been on the prowl now and then..!!
