Have you thought about fitting a lower temp thermostat switch for the front AC fan so it kicks in earlier?
I did that on my 2.8 but I believe given the higher specific output of the M means it gets a bit hotter so it’s not quite enough with just the aux fan.

My 2.8 was fine apart from a track day in 32c heat (with aircon on too!) but @Nodzed got his M hot on the road but I believe he was trying to catch a little Yaris (no not a GR) so must have really been pushing it =))

Mine now runs an electric fan in place of the viscous with an adjustable setting for when you want it to kick in. Plenty of cooling and no propeller fan to dragging on the engine anymore:thumbsup:

In all fairness I have...but even with the fan running the oil temperature is still sitting quite high...maybe a job to look into when I have some time off

I resent that comment =)) on that particular day I was not chasing anything, just driving like a man possessed ........................... Yarisgate is a totally different story 🤦‍♂️

So run for a couple of days without the fan....its Ok while driving on A roads and motorways ...however in traffic the temperature creeps up quickly...so fan back on...
I'd leave it on too. I didnt have any issues until one day on a long twisty steep hill, low speeds, very high revs for about 4 miles and up the temp went and the Aux fan took an age to bring it back down. Scared the bejesus out of me so fan went back on. Never had any issues sat in traffic on hot days, just that one experience. Oil temp ran about 10 degrees hotter when hooning.
