#ZedShed Project Vixen - Sterling Grey Z3 2.8 Sport+

I used to do the same, Got stung with a £60 fine. I think it may be £90 now. Dont get any points just a fine.

I was thinking of getting a plate holder that screws into the towing eye, I know I can't get away with it forever

I know the day will come....but it looks so damn good ;)

The day will come, have no doubt, but, will it be the police or the M.O.T. man?;)

Tony.

Winter Mode activated. Will be wrapping the hardtop satin black.

My day came last week. Left the office late and hood down on a nippy night. Saw a patrol car make a very u turn and follow me for 5mins very closely before lighting up. Very decent about, I explained I just had it sprayed but it's no excuse, he said put it by tomorrow which I've done...can't take the P with these things too much...
They were actually a bit suspicious as to why I had the hood down on a crisp evening...when I launched into how I'd adapted my Sparco seats with carbon heating pads that can toast your bread and how the 6cyl heater gets hot in 2mins they got a bit bored and said it looked nice and let me on my way!

I bought this https://skenebrackets.com/
But want to try magnets for a very flush look, almost sticker like but legal.

Alternatively move to the US and not need one...

Sorry for the number plate OT!

Last week-end I pondered getting the hard top on, but since then I've had the top down all week so far! Hard decisions to make, the car look terrific with the hard top on but... but... buuuuut if it's *nice* outside...

i agree guys that there are some lovely days in the winter where i would put the roof down but it leaks quite a lot when i rains hard so this is a little winter saviour lol. its also my daily so driving only about 3 miles to work with the hard top on it gets toasty very very quickly :)

Zed build well under way. The bushes on this zed were well past it. Time for some stiffening.

Parts list is Powerflex bushes all round including roll bars. I want this car to be flat in the corners. Sachs shocks with braided brake lines.

Standard looking beam, covered in dry mud and dust. The bushes were so past it the core rotated on removal

I didn't want to cut the exhaust so we removed the beam and arms around it. Adds a little more time to the job but possible.

we made some good progress on Saturday, about 4 hours had us remove the rear and get the diff and beam back up. Anyone would think we've done it before =))

Project Vixen well underway @Shortie_gal

We'll never catch her now  .......=))

Do You clean the axle up while it's off, wire brush and coat with anything? Is that a sensible question I just came out with! :wideyed::wideyed:

Top marks :D

This time round it's a quick on off job, there's no big patches of rust just mud and surface dirt most of this can be cleaned up in situe. Some zeds we see have lots of rust so there's a need to clean it up and stop it spreading.
