Has anyone had to endure the new testing standards yet?

No, mine was due 26/05 but got it done last week, I asked the tester what he thought about the new rules, he shook his head and said "don't ask"
EML light on is now a fail??The same, done mine last Tuesday.
Engine management light came on, on the way to drop off at the garage. Would have been a fail today![]()
News to me?
Tony.
They charge you rent....I had a thought the other day...
There are some establishments that only do MOTs - they don't do repairs (BT Fleet for example). What happens if they find a Dangerous Fail?

.A good opportunity for someone with a car trailer for hire business.
Under the new rules that is correct. It immediately becomes unroadworthy even if some of the current MoT remains.Excuse my ignorance and naivety but, if your car fails an MOT, you can't drive it away???
