I've decided to go with Sterling Grey for the wheel nut caps as they'll blend into the centres. Last 5 in the paint oven (utility room).

Yet another little job done and added here on the same day !!
I started collecting some Carbon style badges for my car a couple of months ago, mainly due to wanting these style badges for my newly refurbed wheels and thought it best to change them all.
I got the Steering wheel, bonnet and boot ones changed yesterday.
Which just left the indicator side repeater ones to do. I assumed these were simply bonded on with some medium or other and this was confirmed by @billz (Thank you!) so seeing as it was raining after getting the car cleaned, I thought I'd have a bash at these today.
To remove the old badges, which were getting worse for wear, just slip a sharp blades into the gap and work it round the light. Be careful though.

Splitting the old pieces, but before you do, make certain to mark where the centre of the letter M in the badge is so you attach the badge the correct way up.
Once you have them apart,
You need to remove the old adhesive which if you're careful comes of very cleanly.
The old badge has 2 locating pins for the amber light and these are closer together than the new badge, 2 holes need drilling 4.5mm Dia. and 13mm further away from the original pins.
You'll need to grind the pegs down on the amber lights by about half to allow the new badge to sit properly on the amber light unit. Then apply some 3M double sided tape (other types are out there), peel off the backing and assemble the lights. I put a cable tie around them for a couple of hours just to make sure they were well bonded.
And finally, back on the car. Happy with the new look.

Yeh i forgot about the pins. I just filed all of them off then stuck the new ones on
Looking great mate, much prefer these badges to the OEM ones.
I do too mate. I agree with others that you get what you pay for but these weren't expensive so I can afford to refresh them if need be.

I think I've been through a couple of sets as they tend to fade, some are better than others but like you say they are pretty cheap so it's not bad if you need to replace.

Aux plug for the boot?
Close enough Bryan. I'm installing an ignition fed Aux. socket at the rear of the cabin to plug my rear facing camera into and that'll free up the socket in the console for my portable Satnav when I need it.
