Ouch on the bumper, I know how you feel and it's not great. It is an excuse to get it repainted though so it's looking fresh. You could probably get away with just painting the bottom on the Z4 and not the whole thing.
Congrats on the mot pass mate, I guess you're probably stricter on your own car as well.

Yes mate, that's my plan, although some other ideas cooking on the back burner. Something(s) ordered but not be here for a few weeks.
Worst things is a plastic "box" type of section under the bumper took a hit and although available (Sopers could've got me one for this afternoon and I only rang mid morning) it'll cost £150
. So I'm scouring the breakers for the time being but at least I know I can still get the genuine new part if all else fails.

I'll get out in the dark hopefully tomorrow evening Steve to find out. Like I said if they're better than the original ones I fitted I'll be happy mate. I'll repair the bumper easily enough, and as Dave said the front centre section is almost a separate piece which was the only piece of good luck I got

Sounds a lot for what it is, I can see why cars can be written off by insurers for a minor bump when parts like that cost so much.

I'm hoping so mate. I went to work armed with a list of 7 eBay breaker's phone numbers but never had a chance to do any calling. It's just got to be lucky to catch someone with a fresh car with little or no front end damage before they start "breaking"

Better than the old Osram Nightbreaker definitely, and they were a big improvement on standard 55W bulbs Steve.

Not sure what I've got fitted, but they seem ok. Although I don't do much night time driving to be fair.
I guess I should take a bulb out and have a look what's in there.
What with mine being my daily Steve, good lights are a must have for me.

When Shirl and Gary were over in Florida I took my usual few days off work with the intention of doing a couple of jobs on my car. First was fitting some LEDs to the outer door handles and some BMW logo puddle lights in the bottom of the door cards. I had a small issue with this due to unforeseen circumstances and what with a whole load of snow and Shirl coming back poorly from Florida I haven't really had time to try to sort it out until today. I didn't take any pictures during the fitting but a basic run down is you extend the foot well courtesy light wiring into the door through the trunking at the "A" pillar then route the wire up to the door handle where you drill a 6mm. hole and glue in a 6mm. LED (pre wired to a small 2-pin plug and socket) and connect to the extended wire. At the bottom of the door you Tee in a spur and add a 2-pin plug which plugs directly onto the puddle light. Holes cut into door card by measuring the size rectangle required then drill a 3mm. hole in each corner and cut the sides out with a Dremmel type of tool. Something like this.
