Little update of recent events.
New Sony Mex-5100BT head unit.
The sound difference is just incredible!
70mph roof down and still loud enough to hear.
Fully customisable colour so matched it to the interior :)

Fitted the chrome exhaust tips finally but they're slightly to the left so have been touching/melting the bumper. Good job it's not a nice bumper... not too fussed about this really.

After one window tinted shop decided to try tint the hardtop inside with it still fitted to the car (obviously failed), I took it through another at 1330 today, left the top and had a call at 4 to say he had done it!
Again the difference is fantastic I'm chuffed to bits to say the least. Back end now really comes together.

The cars also booked in Saturday morning for all round brake pads, new trainers (hankook) and a track balance and alignment. So will be having some fun on new rubber this weekend

Looking good Dave, I'm thinking of doing the rear glass in my soft top.;)

Have you seen the tinted soft top windows you can buy? I would think tinting it wouldn't do well when it folds?[/QU

It's a glass window on a 4 mate.

Steady progress and looking good - I particularly like the tinted rear window of the hardtop which looks great!

New Uniroyal rainsport tyres all round. Couldn't deal with everyone's suggestions so went for my own to give me a bit more confidence in the wet than it does already.

Also fitted some black gloss nut covers to tidy up the wheel centres

Few weeks ago I sat for a full day, washed and washed, dried, clay bar, Polish, wax, the full lot.
Just got in and thought I'd give it a quick wash and the effort last time has really paid off. All I've done is wash it and dry it and it's looking as good as ever!
Even mechanic dog made an appearance,
He's now detail dog...

Quick update. Not alot been going on lately.
I had the hardtop on for a bit and it's developing wind noise and then with the soft top up in heavy rain I've been leaking, so will have to look into it.
I saw on here about the bmw winter check for £25 I think it was BMbabe, so I booked it in I thought may aswell it's not been in a garage since I got it.
Anyway new discs all round needed and rear pads, had the pads already, got Brembo discs on euro car parts, 30% off.
The Mrs is a gem and and while I'm away with work she's had it in a garage to get them changed :D
They also said there was a few scrapes underneath (lowered problrms) but nothing to worry about, but he did say I should protect it? Repaint or an undertray?
Got my free bmw umbrella too haha.

Oh also ordered a stormforce cover :)

Got the stormforce fitted.
I believe the wing mirror slots should be 6 inches back as it's pulling on them slightly.
But it's a good thick cover so it should do its job well.

Ordered these a few weeks ago. I like the originals so thought I may aswell take them out so they can stay with the car if its ever sold, as the original mats.
These are pretty decent anyway, good quality.

They should "unscrew" out of the carpet mate, they have a big self tapping thread on the business end.

@Davyhoogy where did you get the black wheel nut covers? I need some of these to cover the silver extended bolts I've got on the rear for the spacers so they match the black ones on front of car!

Theyre just cheap on ebay. Think they were a couple of quid! Worth it for sure
