Euro cruise disaster

We have all got everything crossed for you Gary and looking forward to seeing her back on the road.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Fired her up today, started first turn of the key. She's running a bit rough though, as if she's only running on 5 cylinders and I need to get a code reader on her.

Today is the first time she's breathed on her own since June 10th last year.

Not perfect but way better than it could have been. Great work!

I've quite enjoyed working on her but at nearly 61 my knees and shoulders are not in the best shape and the garage floor is hard and cold =))

I hope all turns out well - sounds very promising from what you’ve said!!

I know those feelings mate, great to hear she's running again. Hope she's soon purring.

Tony.

Not a hydraulic tappet that's jacked up is it? Must be a great feeling to hear it running again.

Lets hope its a simple fix. Great news so far though

Don't think so Adrian, I cleaned and lubricated all the top end before I put the lid on =)) I'll check the spark plugs and coils, might be a bad earth or something simple, it usually is.

This is the first engine job I've ever done without having any bits left over =)) Everything went back in, not necessarily where they came from, but they've all gone back in =))

Nice one Gary .
Hope you manage to iron out that minor problem now it's all back together and running.

Brilliant news Gary, I'm sure she'll be running fine soon:thumbsup:

Good news Gary that you have got it running at first attempt, lets hope that it is something simple giving you the problem. Geoff
