RIP R10GJO

Proper f****d

Head gasket

No1 cylinder nice and clean, little fuel residue from me turning it over
No2 cylinder very oily piston face OK
No3 cylinder piston face looks like toasted cheese
No4 cylinder piston face looks like toasted cheese
No5 cylinder very oily, piston face OK
No6 cylinder nice and clean, little fuel residue as in No1

Too much work to refurbish the current engine, so will ask my son if he wants it for a project.

If not, I'll break it for the good bits and then start looking for another car

and it's now purring away again..

well done that man

Excellent, only problem now is deciding which zed to go out in! Any pics of the new?

Well done Gary, a credit to all your hard work. Give yourself a pat on the back and enjoy a few :beer:beer

I've done nearly 200 miles today after the MOT and it's been great. I took it easy and kept below 60 for a while but when an MX5 went past me on the A30 I thought "f==k it", if she's broke, she's broke and went for it.

Hit the ton with loads left and felt like Lewis at Spa

Happy day

Just caught up on this thread Garry. Great news all round, and in time for summer

Just been for a quick spin and I put fuel in her for the first time since I filled up in Ashford before getting on the Eurotunnel train on 10th June last year.
