Congratulations Gary, looking forward to seeing you in Limburg this year, instead of at the side of the motorway. :)

No car problems this time, but the trip wasn't without incident

One of those pesky continental bugs bit me on the side of my eye, and on top of my head. I drove back to blighty with one eye.
We stopped off at a pharmacy for some anti-histamine tabs and although this morning the swelling has gone down and I can now see I still look like I've taken a few straight lefts =))

accidents happen, although frustrating but as long as everybody is fine and no injuries, don't let it get to you (I know hard not to but)

shame it messed up your trip and cruise :( hopefully all gets sorted soon and back on the road in the Z

** should have check the date on the original post =))

That looks nasty but it’s good that it is now going down. Did it happen on the way to or there ?

Sorry to see this pic of you Jack but at least you went and didn't need the trusty RAC this time. Only need to hear insects spat on the screen to know just what could happen, your now living proof of what could have been more serious if it caught you in the middle of your eye. Hat off to you for driving with impaired sight all that way.Obviosly old school, well done.
Hope it didn't ruin the the trip for you.:blackeye:

Jeez - that’s a post water-shed image if I ever saw one! ;)

Hope the swelling continues to subside. At least you could get home running on one cylinder this time

It was an insect bite that did the damage Roy. It must have got me when my guard was down as I didn't feel it bite me.

I'll be back next year but Jill says she's not going again. That's bad news for Slenaken's beer sales =))
