To be honest, I think if you could pick up a stripped down chassis from @spurs fan in a coupe or one of our other breakers you could save a lot of hassles. All the parts are gone and you don't have to worry about selling off the pieces for whatever you get for them @Sean d! Then with your talents could put together one heck of a car that I'm sure would eclipse the £45k mark. Minor investment for major gain.
@Sir Percival the blue looks great but your red will be a TKO especially with that interior colour no matter what it's called biscuit, tan or beige!! JIM

I love these projects and love the end products, but, I wish there was a way to change the roof line, it just screams Z3 at me when I see them.

One could do a custom chop on the top to change the angles quite easily I think @HT but don't forget that you recognize it as a Zed but do others not so familiar with them?? My street rod friends do custom tops all the time so I know it can and is done!! Glad to see you survived the Christmas night at your buddy's bar! Wish I'd been there!! JIM

If I was going to do this, I would deffo chop the windscreen and make it smaller, probably never get a roof on it though after that though.....

Sure you would, that's the reason most rods are custom tops because of the chopped windshield. It's getting the proportions right that make the difference between a good looking top and an abortion!

With the values their selling for in the U.K. I bet he's thinking hard about it though Lee @bertiejaffa!! A ///M can be had fairly reasonably over here and out of the USA so not as much to think about value wise. JIM

By the way, has anyone on here got a Z4?

Thinking of trading in my RCZ R for one.....anyone got anything good/bad to say about them?

Don't want any sticky roof's or leaks....reliability is a key requirement. (and don't say "well if that's the case, why are you running a French car"...the RCZ R is one of the best cars I have ever owned....yeah I know.... surprised me too !)
