Brian H - Dakar Z3

Road-trip

No update this time just a fantastic road trip, I met with a couple of well know zedders, Deano and Pingu that were doing the Lands End to John O Groats challenge, I joined then yesterday at 10:30am, Home about an hour and 690 ish miles later. Knackered.

As if the drive was not hard enough there was a challenge to get to Sheigra for the sunset and then drive over to John O Groats for the sun rise. There is plenty of time to do this but after a full days driving it certaily tests the concentration levels.

Fantastic Scenery & Roads, anyone up for a Scotland trip in 2016?

Wow 690 miles in an hour, good going buddy

That looks like a great trip Brian:thumbsup:. Go to bed now and get some rest;)

Update 21 - Croft 2015

A recent trip to Croft Circuit, the closest of the BMWCCGB track-days for me to home. A mainly dry day with just a few showers kicking around, not too much rain and the heat in track soon burnt off the spots of rain. A little busier than usual and few more red flags 5 or 6! At one point I was behind a Black 135 when he had an altercation with a hay bail…….ooops!

A few laps below for those interested, the clip below was after lunchtime, I had just had Instruction before lunch so was trying to piece it all together:)

For some reason Croft Circuit was not in my list of favourites, but I can honestly say I now quite like it. Bloomin fast in places though :nailbiting:

The recent ATE brake upgrade was faultless all day and inspired confidence, not once did I get brake fade or have any concerns.

Enjoy

Looks like your problem with the car leaning in the corner is mostly solved.
I don't know the layout of croft at all. But 2 things a car with leaning issues doesn't like is fast corners and swift change of directions.
Looking at your video, croft has some of these.
So you not liking the circuit might have been linked to the issue you had before.
Or not?

Regards, Koen

Good observations Koen, Croft has some really fast corners, the BC suspension has certainly helped with the lean, I do not feel it so much now. The Jim Clark Esses & Barcroft a difficult to get right. :)

Correct, the guy who sold the car was as honest as you will get, he did tell me he had received another offer but declined as he had offered it to me, it would have been so easy for him to sell it on and then tell me some cock and bull story.

They look very nice Brian?

Tony.
