The seats were very good Dino, no sliding about at all. I think your right about the lean and squat, f you compare the car to earlier pics there is a huge difference in the posture of the car, or maybe I'm now driving like miss daisyHow were the seats?
Cars looks awesome, very little lean and squat. Tyres look seriously mean!
That's a real shame, next year maybe?Already something in the diary. Shame I really enjoyed the last one.
Should have some in a day or so @Ragtop, I'll post it up when I get it on the computer if you like.Great pictures Brian. Have you got any dash cam footage?
Hope so BrianThat's a real shame, next year maybe?
Surprisingly good as they are not a true wet weather tyre, they were on the car when I arrived at the track so just left them on, initially they was not too much grip but a few laps in to a run and they came good. How were the Yokohama's performing in the wet?
I was lapping OK Ron , the etiquette at the track days Nick Wright runs on behalf of the BMWCCGB is really good, it is drummed in to us first thing in the briefing, if there is a faster car behind let it pass.Enjoyed that @Brian H looks like you were the fastest on the track. Good that the other drivers indicated to let you pass safely considering the conditions.
There was 2 other Z3M roadsters on track and a Z3M Coupe too.Was that another Z3 I saw on the track?
I think I would have been 15 - 20 seconds slower per lap, there really was not that much grip out there, We were told in the briefing that being right next to an airport supposedly does nothing for grip in these situations as traces of aviation fuel gets dispersed over the track surface! (not sure what to think of that though! How many seconds per lap are you down in the wet against a dry track?
Feel free, full res photo on Flickr if you need itThat's is an awesome picture!! Really like that
Hmm that would look nice on my wall
The one with BMW in the back ground
that's what trackdays are for: get to know your car in all safety...including safety to others.....and just having some funFebruary 22nd 2016 was the BMWCC Trackday at Snetterton, this is the longest haul for me on the Trackday calendar, every year I vow not to do the long journey but I do it............hey ho. A pretty intense 3day haul for me, serious seat time in both the van and Zed.
The trip there
Funnily enough the trip home was the same
The weather did us proud, a little overnight rain left us with a damp track early doors, our induction in the morning went smoothly and we were encouraged to explore different lines in the corners as a wet track sometimes is quicker off line, this is not what the instructors had in mind! :/
No damage done to the car, just a dented pride give the car a quick clean and myself a serious talking too and continued the day,
All in all a great day out.
