Any Vegans on here

I did 30000 at work one day. I scarified the bowls green and then cut it twice. Then I went litter picking for a couple of hours, it's amazing how it adds up. I am sure before I had the app on my phone I have done more.

Had a full English this morning and fish and chips for lunch oh how different tomorrow is going to be

It will soon become the normal :p
I don’t even think about it now ;)
Good luck ;)

It all generally comes down to what people think they will be missing, and how much it bothers you when changing your habits. Doesn't actually take much will power to make significant changes in your lifestyle, just need that initial push whatever it is. My meat consumption is probably the lowest it's ever been, but that's mainly down to cutting out processed foods almost entirely - no sandwiches/pies from the vending van which visits our office daily for example. I still have the full English in a roll on a Saturday morning and a full roast on a Sunday- probably habit more than desire these days. Being aware of what you eat, and the effect it has on your body can only be a positive thing.

For all the changes I've made in my eating habits, and a concerted effort of regular exercise I'm in the best shape I've ever felt in my life at 47. It's a tough sell to others though, and as you've seen in this thread the reaction you've got is probably exactly what I assumed it would be when I saw you post it! The only way you will find out if it makes a difference is to crack on with it and see - and there will become a time when it's normal and just what you do. There are enough on here who will support and listen intently to your journey!

Like shelly says it will soon be second nature or though becoming vegan is a bit harder than vegetarian. One unexpected side effect for me has been the reduction in my shopping bill. Fruit and veg is very cheap compared to meat :):):)

Love the Mug Sean, i had one at work with similar pattern-er. Tea always taste better till the cleaner and her bleach got hold of it

A proper workshop mug is that.

Tony.

I can tell from the mug you are a Man of great culture, most of it growing on your mug =))

You will soon get used to what you can eat ;)
My grandsons know what sweets I can eat , so they don’t offer me jelly sweets any more :)

A few years ago ........ :p
when we were on holiday in Zante :)
We were out for lunch and I fancied a jacket potato with beans :)
Alan was having spaghetti bolognese :)
When our food arrived we started eating, and I said to Alan for some reason mine don’t taste right , but it tasted ok to eat , I had eaten the first half , then about to start on the other side , and for some reason I took the beans off so I could just eat the potato , when I looked, I said to Alan what ever is this , and the I see more bits , I said o no it’s bacon bits :(
I was nearly crying , and gagging as it had been about 15 years then with out no animal products :)
We spoke to the waitress, she said to me you ordered jp with beans , I said why is their bacon in it , she said I don’t know , so she went to ask .
The owner was sitting near the bar and wanted to know what was happening, she told him and he was fuming, the chef said he wanted to add some taste :hungover:
I wasn’t very happy :(
I still get ribbed about it =))

Ours has quite a big lump in the middle, makes cutting it a challenge, but yes very satisfying.
Sorry Sean for going off topic
