Never thought I would be saying such things but as of Monday we as a family are going vegan, now this is coming from a northerner that loves nothing more then a plate full of meat 3 times a day and I have always thought of vegans as a bunch of limp wristed lefties, ;)
We are doing it purely for health reasons, nothing to do with climate change and methane, :).
It all started with a Netflix programme called Game changers, it's an eye opener and well worth a watch.

It was never for me pal but the health benefits are massive, we are giving it a trial to see how things go, we think it may help Molly's condition with her joints

I'm basically an idle so and so and if Jill just fed me vegan food then I'd eat it. Problem comes when I have to feed myself

I love a good salad, but I also love my chicken and fish. And this is cattle country, so a good brisket and bbq is always on the menu. My daughter is a vegetarian, and we give each other a "go" now and then. I have no problem with anyone wanting to live healthier, though, hope it wirks out for the best. My only problem here is with the vegans who think it somehow makes them superior and "more enlightened" ( seemed to be a lot of them when I lived in California). Anyway, good on ya, nothing wrong with healthy living!

Fair shout for Molly mate, all for it. The evidence suggests that being a vegan may give you a healthier lifestyle but not increase your life time. Bacon butties for me tomoz :D Besides, I live on a dairy farm and we currently have Fell Sheep in the fields

I read that as destiny not dentistry, fact is that we have flat molars for crushing grain and such, we have very little for cutting meat

We have a mixture of teeth types, incisors and molars. Most meat eaters have incisors for cutting/tearing meat where as herbivores tend not to. Chimp, our nearest animal.relatives, are mostly vegetarians but are known to kill and eat monkeys now and again.
