    Bushes help pls...

Would it be more sensible to buy this kit than just change bushes. Suppose it would because I'm replacing parts that are possibly worn on a higher mileage car?

    Bushes help pls...

It's all a bit over my head tbh. Can you put it in layman's terms what I need to order, and what I need to tell the mechanic I want doing. I literally don't have a clue! :bag: Edit. Just found this diagram on powerflex website If you give me the numbers it should be easier. Which should I do...

    Bushes help pls...

I recon I need to fit new bushes, having 125k on the clock and not knowing if they have ever been done I think I'm going to replace them. Problem is I haven't got a clue about bushes and which ones affect what so not sure where to start. My intention is to get them all replaced with poly but...

    Tramlining experience poll

I have this issue.... Problem is I also have 4 odd tyres and I suspect I need a full set of new bushes, need new rear springs and probably a new set of dampers as mine has 125k and the only things I know for sure have been changed are front springs. So, everything needs changing! Just have to...

    Hard Top Fitting kits...

Created with my phone just to get an idea =)) I think it will look ok. I'm due to get the wheels refurb' so if I get them in in the same colour as the roof I don't think it will look too bad.

    Hard Top Fitting kits...

Yes I've seen plenty that way, plus silver cars (usually) have a black soft top so it's easy to imagine.

Ok thanks. So is everything in the picture all that is needed to get the top to fit properly? Or do I need torx bolts for the front?

    Am I safe, here?

@mrscalex, that removal of the sump plug was major mechanical work to me! It's took me ages, that thing was on tight!!! I totally get what your saying tho. @buze sorry for derailing your thread

    Am I safe, here?

Confidence comes with experience, which I have non of! It doesn't matter how good your equipment is, I'm sure if it's not used properly there could be issues. So from my point of view I'm uneasy as I've never been shown the correct way to do things by someone with experience, plus when it comes...

    Am I safe, here?

Following this... I done an oil change and was absolutely terrified getting under the car. I ended up putting breeze blocks under the wheels once I jacked it up. Saw a vid years ago of a guy who had his leg severed by a break disc after his jack failed...it was not pretty! :yuck:

    Hard Top Fitting kits...

A hardtop has come up local to me but there is no fitting kit. Looking at the prices on eBay they seem quite extortionate for what they are. Is there nobody making these at a reasonable price that do the job?

    ZimZimmer 2001 Black 2.2 Roadster

I used a Dual action polisher (DAS 6 Pro) They're quite cheap and easy to use and ideal for removing fine scratches & swirls. If you get one I'd recommend a green chemical guys hexlogic pad(s) and scholl concepts s20 black (one step compound & polish) It's pretty much fool proof and you will be...

    ZimZimmer 2001 Black 2.2 Roadster

Not much happening on the mod front atm but was a nice day so decided to go over the car again with the compound & polish. Tried Meguiars M101 Foam cut compound as it's a bit more aggressive than the M105 as I had some scratches to remove. I'm pleased to say I have about 95% correction now :)...
