Ok Guys and Gals we have details. they are likely to get complicated if I post it all here. I have spoken to Gary and we think the best way to do it is to deal with the hotel under this heading and start two new threads for the food side of things for each evening.

So for the Hotel we already had confirmed dedicated parking for Zroadster.org so we can do Pictures etc. Also we had confirmed car washing facilities. on both these scores I will report back about details when I have been to the hotel and visited. I have relatives who live nearby so I shall do it when I visit them in the next few weeks.

We have a Zroadster.org preferential rate for booking the hotel! this rate needs to be using a promo code which I shall edit this post and include tomorrow when the head office allocate it. now to be clear some people (like me) have booked in a way that cannot be cancelled for those people I am sorry but it is tuff. for those that can cancel the hotel are happy for you to cancel your booking and rebook using the promo code. so what is the deal:

Thanks Z3cade I forgot to say the "outlet" prices (hotels.com etc) recently went up so some of the rates we previously had I am told are no longer available.

Promo Code : ZROADSTER 1810730 ( Also if you do try it on the phone you will also succeed by mentioning the code 1810730 which is a booking code and Zroadster.org the additional delay meant we got the the "normal" booking staff aware but we still have to supply a list of names of members don't forget.)

Single occupancy room £60 Including breakfast
Double occupancy room £70 Including breakfast

What we will also need is the names to do a trackback and make sure that we tie up the Zroadster.org usernames with the names of the people who book using the promo code. To do this I would ask you to PM me with Zroadster username and personal names so that we can make sure that no one muscles in on our deal. If they are new members to the forum that is fine as long as they are keeping up to date with what we are doing and that can only happen here on Zroadster.org. the hotel have asked us to make sure that the promo code is not just handed out to any tom dick or harry and so I have undertaken to close the loop.

I hope this is good for you guys and as I don't benefit at all I hope I don't end up buying many bears. Only joking!

regards

Duncan

Also booked in G8JKA just for the Friday night. :car)
Hi Gookah was that single or double occupancy and did it include breakfast also when did you book it?

I have not yet got the Promocode so I will chase tomorrow and having details would be useful. I do not like being sold a pup if I have been I will be taking action.

Now Have Promocode for online booking on Principal-haley web site it is ZROADSTER and for telephone to them is 1810730

Thanks in anticipation.

Double occupancy rooms, but no brekkie (Sorry, I realise now that I should have said that. Bet you read it and thought "hang on a minute".)
I was quoted B&B at £72.50 for a double occupancy room.
I booked today at 5pm. by phoning the hotel.

These incidentally are the same rates as on hotels.com had on their site,
The hotel person said there was no discount available even though I mentioned this thread. However I saw the post about promo codes after I had called them, so I may call back and get the brekkie for the £5 extra.

Thanks that helps If you PM me with your names that you booked in I will make sure you get the correct rate as they are late with the Promo code! Thanks very much for the info and yes I did think hang on a minute. I knew we had not got a huge discount but the inclusion of the Breakfast was I thought worthwhile. I shall talk to them tomorrow morning. The plan is that the promo code you put in on their web site so that they know you are from us and that way they do not get people jumping on our bandwagon.

I pay on departure, no deposit, and can cancel up to 2pm on the day of arrival. They took my card details (as a guarantee if I didn't turn up at all, I suppose)

Do we really have to cancel and rebook or can the hotel sort this out on the day? Not sure what the links are with booking.com etc.

Sorry guys the head office did not get back to the lady at the hotel with the Promo code which we need to get the rate and book online on their web site I will post it on my post which Identifies all the details as soon as I get it.

Once we have it those that can (especially at £102) should cancel and rebook through the web site thats a third night nearly for free (and with Breakfast as well). I must admit that did make me think I had done better than I thought! :-o

The Hotel cannot do anything for people who booked through an external site and took the non refund option (your truly did that, as he is a tight fisted so and so. LOL $-) .

Duncan

To reiterate; those that can "will" have to cancel and rebook to get the rate. It cannot be done at the hotel. the agencies get a fee that we are cutting out, and that fee is dependant on the price paid.

I just want to say a massive thanks to Duncan (La_vida_diver) for chasing these discounts,
They may not be classed as overly generous because its 'only' a fiver to us, but 200 rooms saving a fiver is £1000 of lost revenue to the hotel.
And that's no lack of effort on Duncan's part, every little helps nowadays, and to get exclusive parking and car washing facilities, well what can I say?

Also it is nice to see that ZORG has gone above and beyond other sites with these hotel arrangements and the above benefits.
I hope we can keep it exclusive to members of ZORG, and build on the great work and benefits of being a member of this site.
Would it be best not to display the promo code for everyone else to see, but either PM all members or ask them to PM yourself for it.That way it is truly a discount for ZORG members only.
....... and then we just need some ZORG stickers to display in our club car park!!
