Dislexia rules KO! I think for that one I will put up a Teddy bear for the Lady who is in the cleanest Zed! Driver or Pilot (you don't really think your in charge do you) :ymapplause: and I will make arrangements with the hotel for someone from the hotel to judge it! x_x I will go the the Bear Factory and have fun stuffing a bear, x_x and post a picture of it when I have done it. :-bd

I agree Duncan, I'm all for banning 'roasters' if they are flying from poles , better on a plate with beef and yorkshire pudding )

I think this may interest Maurice. I had also booked on line and it went through Hotels.com
so after reading about Duncan's good work i rang up Horwood house today on 01296 722100 and spoke to Nichola Noble, she was great. I explained about the roadster meet
and the promo that had been agreed, she checked for me and accepted my booking now
for the £70 per room per night for B+B.
You give your card details but your not charged until you book out. If where you have booked you cant get refunded you can ring her back and cancel the booking with her without cost.
I also had to ring Silverstone today to sort out the new car registration so thats all done as well.

Fetched the car home today, Awsom..What a different drive, better for us oldies not to
have such a fight keeping it in a straight line, no tram lining.. 0 to 60 in 5.1 secs now
and a top speed of 170mph OMG. Havnt done that yet though!!!
Oh by the way when you ring she wont even ask you for the promo code she will just check on the roadster booking. Good luck.

Just to clarify the promo code is now up on my earlier post where I identified the deal. I think that because the head office too so long to get it sorted we have ended up in a better situation where the girls on the telephone now know about the deal.

Anyone new who hasn't booked is best to book on the hotels web site and use the promo code though even though the girls on the desk are facilitating us.

Do not forget I still have to confirm the membership to Zroadster.org for each of our bookings for the hotel just before we arrive in July. I shall talk to gazhyde about the best way to do that as he is maintaining the list of who is booked.

PS I better do more reports etc my dyslexia has got worse! but it has given me loads of laughs guys thanks and keep it up. the funniest thing is looking at when you quote me and not seeing it until about the 4th or 5th look at your posts then I just break out! they have been classics :-bd

I think the problem we are having here is that some of our associates who we were with on .net have signed up to go, on there, not knowing that the bookings are being done under .org, i cant see why all the names are not taken from .net and combined with .org as when you think of it if this great site hadnt been started we would have one list on .net .

Hi Paul, you have a point! There are more and more Horwood bookings as the days go on.

As far as .org is concerned we are trying to make the non-ZedFest time more sociable, and want to get as many Zed people benefiting from what we can organise as a group of people. Part of this is the negotiation with the hotel, which is ongoing, to make sure we can get as good an overall deal as possible. Getting this sorted early is a key bit of organisation. Maintaining a list allows us to negotiate using real numbers with the hotel.

We also have some other ideas under progress to make the event a little more special. We are more than happy to include whoever wants to be involved! If others end up in the same hotel under a their own steam, we will all do our best to encourage them to come and join in :ymhug:
