I would expect and have checked with the reservations line that the answer from there would be no. However. I think I will go for it as a task I think we should get a yes, I think the Hotel are very happy with what we have delivered so far so I think they may go for it. I will email now but cannot give you an answer until tomorrow at which point I will edit this post.zedwheels said:

Edit After the call to the venue! Yes the discount does apply to the Thursday night. Due to communication lag it night be best to refer the reservations centre to Matilda though, I am not sure how long it will take for the system to get modified.
As a reminder to people if you book the hotel direct the room discount applies. If you book through another agency or on a advance purchase rate the hotel cannot change the room rate for you. What they have taken to do though is that for us they make no differential wether it is identified as with or without breakfast we residents are all covered for breakfast which will be starting at 7:00 am and also the discount on the bar menu.

I have spoken to the Hotel about arrangements for food for Friday and Saturday and they plan to ask people as they arrive whether they will be eating at the hotel so that they can get an idea of numbers. I also suggested that it might be worth me posting a number to call and say if you wish to eat at the hotel on Friday night specifically. The hotel response is copied below:
"if you do wish to give all guests the chance to call the main hotel number on 01296 722100 and to speak with reception to book dinner if required that would be fantastic, just to inform you dinner within the restaurant is served from 7pm till 9pm"

plan on staying to watch the stage shows. Just a thought, dont know if its feasable, but i
wonder if we were to return to the hotel after the racing for a change of clothes, whether a few
of us could share a mini bus back to Silverstone for the evening and then we could have a couple of.
