I can't make tomorrow, but I do have a couple of little jobs that need doing, so hope to be over soon.

Will pop over the Border, will put the laptop in the boot. Will have a look at your lighting if its still duff.

Good day at the Shed, coffee, tea and cakes, master class for renewing caliper pistons and seals, used the Creator 310+ to reset Gary's service and inspection lights and pinpoint a flakey speed sensor on the rear left that will be attended to.
@Nodzed lighting problem turned out to be a quick fix without breaking out the test probe or multimeter, rear boot n/s lighting plug had detatched itself and front sidelight bulb blown albeit the filimant looked intact, straight swap with the working one proved it was a duff bulb.

Good work chaps :)

That's it folks. Zedshed West is closed for the rest of 2021, I need to work on my own cars for a bit.

Open for business Jan 2022

Merry Christmas :santa:........................ Too soon?

Last Shed day here at Midlands will be on Nov. 6th. Niall, after that it won't be cost effective for me to attend.;)

Tony.

Yep a good days work. @mid life crisis zed got a full brake service, resealed and pistons all round and a fluid change.

Then the sons @notzed 320 smoker came in for new front brake pipes, brake fluid change, service and gearbox oil change.

Not his fault he only has a 320, he has kids so we let him off. ;) ;)

Zedshed West action today, Jon's 2.8 receiving New Wishbone joints bushes and drop links. Be warned Meyle brand rubber bush in the bracket that bolts to the body at the rear of the wishbone was extreamly hard to push onto the machined pin on the wishbone much heating in hot water and brute force won in the end. Radiator replacement went far easier, used my vaccum filler but still had a few bubbles out of the bleed screw. Had a further go at bleeding it with the front raised, getting heat inside the car when revs raised but cools when idling, guage at 12 o'clock and steady. further bleed after it has a test run. Ran out of time to put the new crankshaft sensor in, it would help if we could find it, can't spot it either looking down from the engine bay or from underneath looking up on the inlet side of the engine. Might mean lifting the inlet manifold to get at it on another day.

The crank sensor on my 2000 2.0 was just above the starter motor Col. A bit fiddly to do but managed it on the MOT ramp at work late one afternoon.

Tony.

Just catching up this morning. Thanks Col & Niall for the work on Saturday, very productive. And as a upside the Newcastle v Gloucester rugby game was postponed due to high wind (sorry) so I did not miss it. And Gloucester won :)

Also depending how early your zed is we've found some Crank sensors at the front.

Great try by Rees Lightning

Makes sense, I think we were looking in the wrong place, we had some photos but it wasn't where they showed. When we have more time we will follow the wiring from the plug down to it.
