Looking forward to a visit. In the meantime I did the leather fix to my driver seat bolster, not perfect, but better than it was by a long way :)

Be good to catch up

Will be on a duty free jaunt to Ireland so will miss out on a shed visit

Had @Iamjonw very nice 2.8 in the shed again yesterday for a service and gearbox oil change. Looking over her on the ramps it would seem as first impressions indicated she has been a looked after car in previous ownership. I am confident the gearbox oil had been changed before which is a sign of good maintenance.

So a flush, oil change, new plugs and fuel filter (air filter was new) and a service light reset and she is good for another year.

There's a few cosmetic bits and bobs Jon wants to do but at 20 yrs old that's the norm on these Z3s. Shes not to crusty underneath and the body work is rust free. The engine is sweet, no ticking or odd noises and has a lovely exhaust note. Overall a very nice pre-face lift Z3.

Sometime in the future Jon is getting a new rad and when that's out we can have a look at the pump, pulleys and belts. Thermostat has been changed already so we know that's good.

Sorry no photos we were too busy as I had to put a new set of springs on Willow in the afternoon.

The shed will be closed for the next 3 Saturdays due to holidays.. Business as normal 31st July

Saturday 31st OPEN. 9am

Ramps booked out am

Hey Niall, just checked out the cost of a new rad:
Cotswold BMW £390.30
Euro Car Parts: £154.99

Seems like after market replacement is a no brainer against the OEM one from BMW? Any other potential leads, I think a used one not worth the risk in my opinion - what do you reckon?

Defo new. Car parts sounds OK may be worth asking the forum if anyone has purchased one?

Had the Covid top up Tuesday, no after effects, Saturdays is annual flu jab.

We asked our local Docs if they will do both at the same time. Hoping so.
