Speaking of painting, I started a project on Saturday using the lift as a work bench (Shirl said it was an expensive Workmate).

All done and reassembled.
Expensive greenhouse staging?

And all ready for the occupant to come back home tonight.

Not been happy spending 2 nights out in the frost.

Roll on May 17th. and hopefully good news for the Shed.
Today I got invited for 2nd. jab, later on Shirl received hers and guess what we both got same time slot on the same day. Has the NHS had an attack of common sense ?;)

Pick up thy ramps and walk! And I can now. Making the most of a damp day today I had decided that having made the lift more easily mobile it made sense to make the wooden ramps more portable too.
At the back end I made two flexible carry handles from plastic tube and yellow rope @Rha
I trapped them between the ramp and stop chock. Drilling a shallow hole to locate the knots on the ends of the rope.

At the other end I couldn't use this method as the run ups locate there, so I cut a 100mm x 100mm.hole in the top of ramp then a 19mm hole in the sides of the ramp and fitted piece of plastic pipe through the sides of the ramp, located by fitting a screw in each end. Just reach into the hole and grab the pipe to carry the ramp.

Crickey you dont like slumming it up north do you. We got some dodgy old planks down here and just kick them aside when we start tripping over them. =))

In all honesty Niall, just something to do and keep my mind occupied mate. The timber was free. ... . . . . . ., well, Gary hasn’t told me how much I owe him yet;)=)).

Looks great mate, I have changed to a drive on ramp now so the planks aren't such an issue other than with lowered Zeds

Just to confirm, it didn't take us 2 years to finish cleaning the drive, it took us about a week using the pressure washer. The worst bit is cleaning the windows, soffets, 2 conservatories and the garage front after all the splattering from the washer. Oh well, just the garage front left. Been doing this today. Wash, clay, wash, rinse then machine polish and hand wax.

By 7.30 it was too cold and damp so bonnet, roof and boot to wax in the morning.
