Do you find a loss on the lower ranges?
Is it more vtec like delivery now with a noticeable top end but weaker bottom end?
The lower end feels the same with the higher end being a lot harder, a real shove in the seat when the vanos comes on. Were planning to iron this out with mapping in the new year.

You don’t like vtec yo! then..
You looking at a live remap or send the ECU away?

Live remap this time, the ECU has already had that treatment.
Very interesting..needs to save some pennies and clear out of bits me thinks... it needs rocker cover gasket so might as well do the vanos seals...and then whack on the larger inlet and BBTB at the same time whilst it’s all off.

But then I’m thinking why not do reprofiled cams at the same time and then have it all mapped...I mean if you going have a live mapping session and all that!

I’ve yet to price up cams but Shrick is mad money for a cam, US M3 a hassle to get. I would have thought places still grind cams like the old days..
A bit of a lumpy idle would be nice...reliable TVR sort of thing ;)

I cant emphasise enough how much of a difference these mods have made and they're all affordable.

Need to come over and drive them side by side!
Did you fix the viscous fan, must be at least 15bhp to be had there..:)

See what your 3rd gear is like, this 2.8 now pulls over 100 in 3rd :D

Now that will be handy, it’s annoying to have to take 4th before I reach the end of the driveway, this will solve it. I love it when more power = Practical benefits ;)

Now I checked and mine hits the limiter at around 80 and it’s well into the redline. Do you have to draw extra lines beyond 7k or does the needle just stop?

@Madtoady Nothing stopping you arranging with @Lee @GazHyde for a visit. Word of warning though... it is tradition that a newbie has to purchase the bacon breakfast rolls on the first visit. @Nodzed I am sure will agree.

It would be my pleasure to drive the 2 hours there to buy you guys bacon rolls for the chance to give my car a thorough inspection and to learn more about these cars. It's the first car I've had that makes me want to get stuck in and to learn to do things to it myself.

So where had the brake fluid gone? Not got a leak on the clutch circuit have you?

Tony.

Damn, I came on here to ask a question and now I'm drawing up a list of engine mods :)

Anyway the question was can anyone on here get EMP Stewart water pumps or are they not necessary - I removed the viscous fan about 8 months ago? And can you get metal pulleys too?

Cheers

Tracey
