No, you still need to get the V5 changed, this seems to have been a mistake that was rectified.

Classic Coachworks dealt with getting the V5C changed to read

Make: TRIBUTE
Model: Z75


The V5C is the key document. Everything else can be changed to reflect what it says, and use it as the authority.

The V5C can only be changed with the agreement of DVLA.

Sorry. Now I'm confused. A few posts ago you said that the MOT tester made the changes for you. But now you're saying that CCW did it for you.
 
I did the process and forms to get the V5. For my purposes I need to get the MOT database updated to reflect that.

We are all good now.

The v627 will change the V5c.
the tester can Amend his database to match the V5c, but he cannot amend the Dvla database.
so you will need to send off the form. It’s an easy change to make.

I probably hadn't drunk my usual amount of coffee but I understood pingu to be saying that the mot guy could change the data as in the v5 data. After the 3rd cup I clicked what was meant.
 
The Kobra has hardly been used in the last year due to other commitments related to change of location and associated life changes.

So I am selling Max the red baron so that he can find a new enthusiastic owner. To enjoy / use as-is / tweak and change at their will. These cars are always in a state of development so will be interested in how he changes.

The Kobra kits don't hold the value of the ones that look a bit Fxxxxxxx I have it priced to sell (I hope). It owes me £13.5k over the last 7 years so accept depreciation :)

Don't worry about it. Your car's worth is whatever you want it to be, right up until you try to sell it. Just like my Enron stock certificate—it's worth a fortune as long as it stays in the safe.
