Yes typical English weatherI don't think it can be modified without cutting and welding to lower the brace. Won't be bringing it Thursday, have you seen the forecast?

Could be worse snow forecast for the weekend again.Yes typical English weather![]()
I did read of that happening to someone, somewhere!Great bit of kit for a road car, your car gets hit on one side, strut brace takes out the other side ....![]()
It’s a good point.Great bit of kit for a road car, your car gets hit on one side, strut brace takes out the other side ....![]()
Its a proven point. Think about it, you introduce extra strength. Why was that not OEM?It’s a good point.
Evening Big Ears, it will make "a scrap of difference" if you would be able to repair one side of the car only and I am not just talking about body work.it won't make a scrap of difference.
It's not OEM as it increases cost and will sometimes interfere with desired resonance and nvhIts a proven point. Think about it, you introduce extra strength. Why was that not OEM?
As in, you can not get them from BMW, its all after market bling kit.
You would be well and truly fooked if it wasn't TimRemember also that the bottom of the chassis is already braced too
Well you're a bit late for that mate, I've had a Z4 for 2 1/2 years if you hadn't noticed. It would not make a tiny bit of difference to anyone owning a Z3 ever. Period. Unless maybe it was an ///M, even then it would be touch and go. If your immaculate 1.9 could not be saved for the cost of a bonnet, that says it all Mike.Evening Big Ears, it will make "a scrap of difference" if you would be able to repair one side of the car only and I am not just talking about body work.
You are introducing something non OEM to the car.
As for your "Show Hoops" you had, they look fmucking ridiculous.
Going to have to start calling you 'Mr Bling' ....
Lot more damage than just the bonnet. Plus insurance company's are not interested in cars from 1996.for the cost of a bonnet
And so, when were Z3's first made???? How many times have you said on here it was the bonnet what killed you car mate? We were discussing fitting strut braces on Z3's were we not............... 1996 onwardsLot more damage than just the bonnet. Plus insurance company's are not interested in cars from 1996.
Yeah, that's what they used as an argument. How many times have you said on here it was the bonnet what killed you car mate?
Ouch a tad harsh don’t you think Mike.Evening Big Ears, it will make "a scrap of difference" if you would be able to repair one side of the car only and I am not just talking about body work.

Don't worry, he's used to it ....Ouch a tad harsh don’t you think Mike.
Yeah, but if you get hit that hard on one side It'll be an insurance write off anyway!..Great bit of kit for a road car, your car gets hit on one side, strut brace takes out the other side ....![]()
i meant the lower chassis brace (add on part that is fitted to Z3s and e36 convertibles)You would be well and truly fooked if it wasn't Tim
