Just in case you have not looked it up yet.

For the hand brake check that the cables fine and replace if broken or worn. You need to adjust at the wears first with the adjuster then make the adjust the cable at the hand brake lever.

Anyone near Cheddars have a reset tool for his ABS?
Thank you very much, it is greatly appreciated :)

Doesn't look too hard to do in fairness

Pull the gaitor off the lever first and see how far down the adjusting nuts are. If they're well down slacker them back towards the end of the threads before adjusting the parking brake shoes. Then 're adjust the cables. Look for about 4-5 clicks when done.

After a bit of use it'll probably come up one or two mate. Happy to hear you're keeping it mate, you most definitely would've regretted parting with it. It's cleaned up into a great looking motor.

Cheers Tony

This is what it looked like when I first got it (you may need to zoom in to see the moss)

It was full of moss (which is now its name, lol), wipers had fused to windscreen and spiders everywhere. The previous owner (my dads work mate) was also a forum member on here, but didn't write that many posts.

Sounds a bit premature to say that. Get it diagnosed first and go from there. You never know.

Did you buy decent cooling system parts? Might have a dodgy thermostat.

There must be an air lock somewhere in the system

@Cheddars - take some time to diagnose the fault(s) - bonnet latch first though! Don't give in to the car letting you down - see it through and get the MOT! Good luck!
